A bit about me

L'Osteria della Trippa was born in Rome in 2019 thanks to my great passion for cooking and good wine. Growing up in the kitchen between my grandmother's skirt and a rowdy family where everyone was skilled in the kitchen, i could only get to cook too.

My Osteria

In my kitchen I draw on the familiar memories and flavors that have accompanied me since I was a child: my cooking is simple and traditional, centered on the search for recipes and ingredients linked to the Roman and Lazio tradition, also exploring dishes and traditions from other italian regions, with a personal touch and a lot of passion.

For wines choice I rely on my experience in this field: curious and fascinated by this world, I personally research them, taste them alone and with my friends; I prefer to buy from small wineries and realities, favoring a purely local wine menu with about a hundred references, but with an eye to France which gives me the only Champagne in the menu.

Have I already told you about my passion for France? Well, I'm in love with it, this is why I enjoy reinterpreting sweets from beyond the Alps, which are also highly requested by my customers.

Trastevere

The historical district

"Er core de Roma", Trastevere is one of the most fascinating places in the capital, a succession of alleys with an ancient flavor with enchanting squares that open up wonderful views.

Among all the districts of Rome, it is undoubtedly the most colorful and fascinating, where you can breathe the authentic soul of the Romans: rich in history, full of clubs and craft shops, markets, and lots of people who stop to chat on the street. In the evening, the neighborhood is transformed, and Trastevere becomes one of the favorite destinations to spend the night.

The name Trastevere comes from the Latin trans Tiberim, that means beyond the Tiber, since the city originated and developed on the opposite bank of the river.
